Roof Deck Coffee was founded upon the belief that good coffee brings people together. Whether it’s sitting across the table from each other in a coffee shop, your kitchen table, your workplace break room, or on a park bench, coffee encourages get togethers, conversation, and comfort. We set out to deliver a rich, flavorful, and enchanting brand of coffee to add to your daily coffee drinking repertoire.
Our Coffee
The majority of our gourmet roasted coffee is sourced from farms in Nicaragua, the largest country in Central America. Two particular farms located in the mountains of Jinotega, Nicaragua (one of them women-owned), produce strictly high grown (SHG) and shade grown coffee. The high altitude, volcanic soil, and shade from the canopy of trees produce low acidity coffee with a sweet, mild and chocolaty nuance.
How It Started
Roof Deck Coffee Company was founded in 2020 by suspense writer Rob Watts, initially as a hobby to learn proper coffee roasting methods, and to educate himself on coffee history, cultivation, and ethical sourcing. With an emphasis on shade-grown coffee from Nicaragua, Roof Deck Coffee offers gourmet roasted blends from this vibrant growing region in Central America, with occasional limited blends from other regions. With our new online presence, Roof Deck Coffee Company also serves as a one-stop shopping experience for fans of his brand of Hot Sauce (WATTSauce), as well as his published works of Thrillers and Suspense. Signed copies of books will be sold exclusively through Roof Deck Coffee Company.
